Saudi KMCC Expands Social Security Scheme to Benefit All Expatriates, Distributes ₹35 Million in Aid

Kasaragod: The Saudi KMCC National Committee has rolled out the second phase of financial aid under its comprehensive Social Security Scheme, aimed at supporting expatriates. The distribution event took place at the Kasaragod Municipal Conference Hall, where ₹35 million was disbursed to beneficiaries.

The social security scheme is designed to include all expatriates in Saudi Arabia, with over 100,000 members currently enrolled. The program provides financial assistance to the families of expatriates who have passed away or fallen seriously ill during their time abroad.

The event, held in two sessions, was inaugurated by Muslim League State Secretary P.M.A. Salam. The first session featured cultural performances by differently-abled children from various Buds Schools in the Kasaragod district, organized in collaboration with the Akkara Foundation. Caregivers and volunteers serving these children were also honored during the ceremony.

The afternoon session focused on the distribution of financial benefits and the inauguration of new memberships, with Panakkad Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal officiating. Rajmohan Unnithan, MP, attended the event as the chief guest. Kunjimon Kakkiya, President of the Saudi KMCC National Committee, presided over the session.

Prominent figures from the Muslim League, including State Treasurer C.T. Ahamadali, State Vice President Abdurahman Kallai, and several other dignitaries, participated in the event.

The Saudi KMCC’s Social Security Scheme continues to be a vital lifeline for expatriates, providing crucial support during times of need and expanding its membership base to ensure widespread coverage across the Saudi expatriate community.
