Kuniya Edu Conclave 2026 Marks a New Chapter in Higher Education; Launches Integrated ‘Degree with IAS’ Programme
Kuniya: Kuniya Group of Institutions ushered in a new era in higher education in North Kerala by hosting Kuniya Edu Conclave 2026, a landmark event that brought together educationists, academic leaders, civil service professionals, and policymakers to discuss the future of education, leadership, public service, and innovative learning opportunities.
A major highlight of the conclave was the launch of the ‘Degree with IAS’ Integrated Residential Programme, a comprehensive academic initiative designed to enable students to pursue their undergraduate degree while simultaneously preparing for national-level competitive examinations, including the UPSC Civil Services Examination, NEET, and JEE, within a single campus.
The programme was inaugurated by Anil Swarup, former Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India.
Delivering the keynote address, Kerala’s Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice, T. Siddique, praised the initiative as a transformative step for higher education in the state. He said the programme would create new opportunities for students and significantly address the educational aspirations of students from North Kerala, particularly those from Kasaragod and Wayanad, who dream of pursuing higher education and civil services.
The Minister emphasized that successful civil services training requires world-class infrastructure, effective academic coordination, and highly qualified faculty. He also highlighted the importance of nurturing an agricultural mindset among students alongside academic excellence, suggesting that the institution establish a model farm on campus and consider introducing agriculture-related courses in the future.
The Degree with IAS programme reflects the vision of Kuniya Group of Institutions to deliver transformative education that combines academic excellence with character building, value-based learning, leadership development, and social responsibility. By integrating competitive examination coaching with holistic personality development, the institution aims to prepare students for both professional success and meaningful public service.
The conclave also featured keynote sessions, expert talks, and panel discussions on education, leadership, public service, personality development, and emerging opportunities in the education sector.
The event was chaired by Dr. Sajid Ali, Director of Kuniya IAS Academy. Dr. P. S. Lakshmi Bhai, Director of Kuniya Group of Institutions, welcomed the gathering, while Dr. V. Santhosh, Chief Operating Officer, delivered the vote of thanks.
Among those who addressed the gathering were Manjeshwar MLA A.K.M. Ashraf, DCC President Adv. P.K. Faisal, Sajid Mavval, and M.C. Prabhakaran.
The conclave witnessed the participation of education experts, principals, headmasters, academic leaders, civil service officers, and representatives from various sectors, making it one of the region’s significant educational gatherings focused on shaping the future of higher education.
