SIHF Hosts Panel Talk on Fasting Benefits and Health

Jeddah: The Jeddah Chapter of the Saudi Indian Healthcare Forum (SIHF) organized a Panel Talk to educate the community about the health advantages of fasting. The event, held at the Consulate General of India on Thursday, featured informative presentations and discussions by respected speakers from the medical field.

Dr. Mushkath Muhammadali VP, Executive Committee Member of SIHF, welcomed the participants and started the proceedings with an introduction.

Dr. Ashraf Amir, President of SIHF and Consultant in Internal Medicine, shared valuable insights into the significant health benefits associated with fasting, highlighting its positive impact on overall well-being.

Dr. Khaja Yaminuddin, a specialist in Diabetes care, offered practical advice on managing diabetes through fasting and intermittent fasting, providing attendees with valuable information for maintaining their health.

Dr. Farheen Taha, an expert in dental health, emphasized the importance of oral care during fasting, shedding light on the lesser-known connection between fasting and oral health.

The event also included a panel discussion led by Dr. Jemshith Ahmed, General Secretary of SIHF, encouraging attendees to engage in meaningful conversations and address their queries related to fasting and health.

Mr. Imam Mehdi Husain, Consul (HoC) from the Consulate General of India, presented mementos to the speakers and offered felicitations.

Dr. Iqbal Musani, Vice President of SIHF, summarized the key takeaways from the event, underlining the importance of fasting for a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Faheem Rahman, Secretary cum Treasurer of SIHF, expressed gratitude to the speakers, participants, and organizers, concluding the event on a positive note.
